Presentation Abstracts:
8:50 am - 9:50 am – Welcome: “AI World Recap & Oracle AI Path Overview”
Abstract: Kick off your day with highlights from AI World and an overview of Oracle’s AI strategy. Explore key trends, innovations, and how Oracle integrates machine learning, generative AI, and vector search across cloud and enterprise platforms to drive automation and smarter decision-making.
9:55 am - 10:55 am – Session 1: “Embedding and Vector Search Basics”
Abstract: This session explores the theory behind embeddings and their critical role in AI-driven applications through practical examples. We’ll introduce popular algorithms such as OpenAI’s embeddings and Sentence Transformers and discuss how to select the right model for specific tasks like PDF parsing or text document search. Attendees will gain an understanding of how embedding quality directly influences search accuracy and the complexities involved in choosing optimal models for their AI applications.
11:00 am - 12:00 pm – Session 2: “Performance Tuning AI Vector Search”
Abstract: Learn how to optimize AI vector search for speed and precision, including indexing strategies like FAISS and HNSW. This session covers performance tuning, scaling challenges, and hybrid search scenarios that combine SQL queries with vector similarity, featuring practical examples and benchmark insights.
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Session 3: “Review of AI Strategy in Enterprise”
Abstract: Learn more about the evolution of AI in Enterprise, from early models of classic Machine Learning, to the recent introduction of Transformers and Generative AI. Scott will review the evolution of Generative AI from simple chat bot/authoring capabilities, as well as using retrieval augmented generation (RAG) for ask/answer scenarios, and ending on the advances in goal-based AI Agentic Workflows.
2:05 pm - 4:05 pm–Workshop:“Building and Deploying Your AI Agent in Oracle Fusion”
Abstract: A hands-on session where participants build and deploy AI agents for use cases like document retrieval, chatbots, and intelligent assistants. Includes guidance on MCP servers for fast LLM access with key security and governance considerations.
