Session 1 - Presentation
"AI and Oracle 23ai Database"
with Thomas Meyer and Charles Henrikson
We will be discussing:
We will be diving into some exciting innovations in the world of Generative AI, particularly how these advancements are integrated within Oracle's powerful 23ai database.
First, we’ll explore the Oracle Generative AI APIs, which offer developers a sophisticated toolkit to generate high-quality, contextual responses and content using the latest AI techniques. These APIs allow businesses to tap into AI models that enhance efficiency across various applications.
Next, we’ll discuss the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) model, a key breakthrough in leveraging both generative capabilities and external knowledge sources. The RAG approach combines retrieval systems with generative models, enabling it to pull relevant information from vast databases like Oracle 23ai, and then generate accurate, detailed responses. This fusion empowers businesses to provide more context-aware solutions.
Another key topic we’ll touch on is embedding models and how they can be applied to Oracle 23ai. Embedding models are critical for understanding relationships between pieces of data—whether text, images, or other formats. By embedding data into a high-dimensional vector space, Oracle’s AI systems can then process and retrieve the most relevant information faster and more efficiently.
Finally, we’ll conclude with a demonstration of how all these Oracle AI components—generative AI, RAG models, and embedding techniques—work together within the Oracle 23ai database. You’ll see firsthand how businesses can implement advanced AI workflows, leveraging these tools to drive innovation in data analysis, customer support, and content generation.
This demonstration will illustrate the real-world value of combining cutting-edge AI models with Oracle’s robust data infrastructure, transforming how we interact with and utilize data.

Session 2 - Presentation
"Overview of Augmented Data Modeling and Data Preparation
in Oracle Analytics"
with Luis Rivas
Getting the data right is key to analyzing data and seeking business insights. Analysts spend most of their time modeling, wrangling, and preparing data before they even get to visual exploration. Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) provides a wide array of advanced capabilities to streamline this work—using machine learning (ML) and other techniques to identify, highlight, and resolve business issues. See how AI, ML, and advanced data modeling tools within OAC can help boost productivity and learn how customers use these powerful capabilities to improve productivity and achieve better results. Learn about a customer used the power and agility of OAC to quickly solve a key business problem and improve data-informed decision making.
Luis Rivas is a Director of Product Management for Oracle Analytics, specializing in self-service data modeling and augmented data preparation. With more than 25 years of experience in solving complex data challenges, Luis was a founding member of the engineering team at Silver Creek Systems, a startup that applied machine learning, NLP, and semantic technologies to enhance product data quality. Silver Creek was acquired by Oracle in 2010. Luis also played a pivotal role in the development and management of Oracle Big Data Preparation Cloud Service, which now powers the augmented features within Oracle Analytics for data modeling and preparation.
