I have so missed the old RMOUG listservers and all the discussion between RMOUG members.  The new Community Forum is going to be some much fun!  I really look forward to hearing regularly from more RMOUG members.

I just heard that ODTUG will hold its K'Scope 2023 conference at the Gaylord Rockies in Aurora - next to DIA in June of 2023!

It is fantastic to have the ODTUG Conference being held in Colorado again!

The first OCSIG/ODTUG Conference was held at Keystone Resort in April 1992.  The first OCSIG President was Rik Williams who also started RMOUG.

RMOUG's new Board of Directors is awesome!  Five previous Directors have returned to serve on the Board: Ron Bich, John Peterson, Bobby Curtis, John Jeunnette, and Nadir Doctor!   Long-time RMOUG members Tim Mishek and Sebastian Samala from the State of Colorado are bringing the much needed perspective of the corporate RMOUG members.  Brandon Webb brings the perspective of both a consultant and the UTOUG Board.

I'm really looking forward seeing where this new Board takes RMOUG!

Do you remember the days of TUSC Consulting?  And when Bradley Brown was a regular presenter at RMOUG events and President for several years?  Brad is a serial entrepreneur and has been involved in numerous business startups since those days.  These days Brad and his wife Kristen have been making amazing jam!   https://www.bradbjammin.com/

Brad has just opened the new Brad B Jammin PB&J Cafe which my friend Brad Brown has opened in Littleton at 6518 S. Broadway in Littleton, CO 80121 next to Renewed Treasures. If you live near Littleton, do check it out!

For several years we have been blessed to have  Oracle ACE Director Karen Cannell expand our knowledge of APEX with her amazing sessions at Training Days.  I recently discovered that Karen lives a "dual life".
She also goes by the name of "Tuna Huntress".  She and her husband Gary run a sports deep sea fishing charter boat out of Gloucester Massachusetts.
If you are interested in sport fishing, you can book your charter here

I am so thankful for all the awesome people who have volunteers for RMOUG over its 37 years!    There was an amazing group of volunteers behind Virtual Training Days 2021!  See the list here.

Each year volunteers step up and serve on RMOUG's Board of Directors, and carrying on the Mission of RMOUG.  I'm looking forward to working with the next group of volunteers who step up for next year!

As we were implementing our new Wild Apricot membership system, we again thought of those extra special volunteers who stepped up again and again to support RMOUG and were recognized with the Doug Faughnan Lifetime Achievement Award and became Lifetime Members of RMOUG.

I really miss having Kellyn and Tim Gorman in Colorado!  They live in a fantastic floating home in Portland, OR now, and they both work for Microsoft with Azure and Oracle.

It was fantastic to have Kellyn back at Training Days presenting  Oracle Workloads on Azure Cloud.  During the Meet the Author session, Kellyn talked about her book Crushing the Gender Bias, and mentioned that she and Tim are working on a book on Azure and Oracle which should be available this year.

If you didn't attend Kellyn's presentation, you should definitely watch it in our Members-only web area where the "Rerun of Training Days 2021" is showing!

I am so excited to see the video recordings of the Training Days 2021 sessions are being posted on our new RMOUG.ORG website for all our members to view!  The new RMOUG.org website is fantastic!

I loved all of the Training Days presentations, and I really look forward to viewing them all again and again.

I just received my complimentary copy of "PDB Me to Oracle Cloud" in the mail!  It was authored by two speakers at TD 2021 - Charles Kim and Jim Czuprynski.   I wish you all could read it.

The cover has a picture of Oracle Pluggable Databases looking like beer cans, and @JimTheWhyGuy says "It's as easy as opening a beer".

I'm looking forward to reading it while drinking a can of Coors!
