Job Description

Kritek, LLC is currently seeking a senior Oracle Database Administrator for our local client (Golden, Colorado) to upgrade Oracle databases, setup disaster recovery facility and Oracle data warehouse. The candidate selected for this position will be very proactive and have 10 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, willing to share and learn. The candidate should have past experience building 11g databases independently. This is a 6+month project.

This position requires the ability to design, analyze and manage database solutions. The most successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive sensibility and a drive for excellence.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Architect scalable, reliable database solutions according to the needs of the business.
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery Facility requirements.
• Design and deploy Oracle technologies such as RAC, ASM, Grid infrastructure, Grid control,  RMAN, Partitioning, Active Data Guard and Oracle Streams.
• Design and implement Oracle warehouse to replace an existing archive database (multiple TB data), including architect and capacity design, installation and configuration. 
•  Diagnose and recommend the solutions for current Oracle environments, including improving performance, capacity planning, forecast and backup strategy.

Required Qualifications

• 10 year’s Oracle administration experience on Linux-based system - Oracle 11g.
• Advanced experience on Oracle cluster and replication
• Architect design for Oracle environment
• Advanced experience on RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure and Grid Control(OEM) 

• Demonstrated knowledge of performance tuning.
• Extensive RMAN experience.
• Advanced Data Guard, Oracle stream experience.
• Proficient on Linux/Oracle scripting
• Proficient on upgrading and patching
• Partitioning and large database experience.
• Esri server knowledge is plus.
• Experienced in mentoring and cross training.
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, willingness to share and learn.
