Colorado State University’s Human Resources Department seeks a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Technical Support Specialist. The HRIS unit houses the functional administrators for the Oracle Human Resources Management System (HRMS). The unit is responsible for end-user support, the annual HRMS user audit, year-end leave audit process, new fiscal year departmental adjustments, in-depth testing of new system functionality, analysis of existing functionality and reported issues as well as managing setup of new departments and reorganizations across campus. This position reports to the HRIS Manager, and is integral in supporting new technology initiatives in the HR department to assist in testing user requirements, troubleshooting and supporting end users.

Required Job Qualifications

*A bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field, or 4 years of related experience *A minimum of 2 years functional experience in application support performing an IS role *Experience in investigating, testing and providing end user support for system applications in a large integrated PC/client-server/internet technology based delivery environment * Must possess demonstrated research and analytical skills with experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems

*Must possess demonstrated research and analytical skills with experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems *Must possess a demonstrated understanding of user interface display and how it relates to back end data structures and business processes *Must possess demonstrated excellent communication and customer service skills to resolve outstanding end- user issues and report requests quickly and accurately while exceeding customer expectations *Reflecting departmental and institutional values, candidates are expected to have the ability to advance the department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion Preferred Job Qualifications
*Experience working in large public sector and/or higher education environment *Broad functional experience with the Oracle e-Business HCM Application Suite (v12.1) *Knowledge of basic SQL and underlying tables structure *Experience in PeopleAdmin
*Experience with WordPress
