Opening for a Senior WebLogic System Engineer/Administrator on our SES team.

We have a large, long-term project providing ground-up development of a global, enterprise infrastructure for a credit card processing system.  As part of our team, you will be getting in on the ground floor of our design and development of a new infrastructure that will be used in Asia, Europe, and the United States.  This is a long-term position, with the next 2-4 years putting the infrastructure fully in place and an additional 5-8 years handling BAU – business as usual. We have a “green field” right now to build out a brand new system, including Java and ADF applications, OBIEE, DW, and DB environments. 

As our WebLogic Lead Engineer/Administrator, this person will be a leader, with the ability to take ownership of the group and lead through example and enthusiasm. We are looking for someone with passion, energy, commitment and be able to motivate their team.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with database administrators, network administrators, system administrators and Infrastructure/Security architects to resolve issues and identify optimal solutions.
• Design, build, administer, and support Middle Tier applications and systems like Oracle WebLogic Servers, Oracle Access Managers, Oracle Identity Managers, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Servers, and Oracle Web Servers in clustered and standalone configurations.
• Provide technical input for and assist in the maintenance of departmental documentation relating to the environment.
• Participate in the IT Change Management process which includes, but is not limited to the drafting of plans, system testing and application of controls for all updates made to a test or production environment.
• Work with business analysts and developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of information accessible on managed systems.
• Work with analysts to monitor, manage and resolve any incoming helpdesk calls that pertain to Oracle middle tier applications and systems.
• Working Knowledge of HTTP Web Server (Apache and/or Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)) and Proxy Configuration
• Working knowledge of Firewall
• Working knowledge of Load Balancing (both Software and Hardware Based)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Window Servers and SQL Servers
• Familiarity with Linux OS and Java JVM Tuning options
• Familiarity with the Java programming language to analyze and identify application and server errors.

Required skills/experience include:

• 5+ years experience as an Weblogic Administrator in an Enterprise wide environment
• Detailed knowledge of Oracle Weblogic and SOA Suite Server (Fusion)
• Working knowledge of development tools
• Working knowledge of JDBC
• Working knowledge of VMWare and Clustered Server environments
• Working knowledge of Oracle Database server
• Working knowledge of Oracle Access Manager (OAM) and Oracle Identity Manager (OIM)
• Working knowledge of Linux OS
• Oracle Training or Certification is a plus
