Bobby Curtis

Campaign Statement

My name is Bobby Curtis and I’m seeking re-election as the Social Media Director for the board of directors for RMOUG.  After serving on the board over the last year, I have learned a great deal about how the user group runs and how we can continue to improve over time.  By being a part of the RMOUG board of Directors I have been able to focus more on community relations and how to continue to improve the group as time moves forward.

In the past, I have a severed on many boards to include, the youth baseball league here in Georgia. As a board member for the youth baseball league, I severed as a general board member and ended my tenor as President.  Over time, I was able to build relationships with other board members that helped the organization improve and become a facility known for youth sports.   Due to my commitments with work and the Oracle Community, I resigned from the league in 2012; yet still remain as a sounding board for some of the remaining board members at the park.

Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to present on a variety of stages from my local Georgia Oracle User Group (GOUSER), RMOUG TD 2013, and Oracle Open World in 2012/2013. These presenting opportunities have allowed me to spread the word of RMOUG as a valuable regional user group during presentations, webinars and Oracle meetings outside the state of Colorado and into other regional area providing RMOUG additional exposer to a new audience.

Qualifications and Biography:

My position as a Senior Technical Consultant with Enkitec, offers me incredible support from my company to be involved in my local and remote user groups. I hope to be a positive resource within the RMOUG board of directors and of assistance to other board members through collaboration and skills that will continue to make RMOUG the successful Oracle User Group it is today.

Please elect me for the 2014-2015 year.

Andreas Katsaris

My first goal would be to engage RMOUG members and solicit systematic feedback in order to assess potential SIG groups that can be formed. Following that I will plan and organize these groups and engage local RMOUG members but also industry recognized speakers that may regularly present in order to maintain interest and attract new members. My expectation is to leverage existing and new contacts from my network to attract new members and grow the RMOUG SIGs to a level that they attract out of state attendance.
