My name is Rama Balaji.   Although "pastel painting" is my favorite hobby, I am  most likely to seek an oracle book for relaxation.

I love presenting at RMOUG, because it gives me a great opportunity to observe  audience expectations and questions, to submit it again for Oracle Open World  conference. It also gives me an opportunity to interact with my ex-colleagues and  share real world best practices and easy tricks I learn while supporting my clients.

TopLink is new to what we have been doing for 10 years. Welcome TopLink,  because I need Oracle to respect SQL that breaks relational rules, but works great  for machine reasoners and inference engines. We crawl w3c ontology domain  knowledge maps. They are finally close to seeing the light.

Hobbies - INPUT - The Great Courses and The Bowers Pyramid!

My hobbies include: spending time with my family, snowboarding, mountain biking,  following Gator sports through many national championships, and preaching the  SOA gospel throughout this small universe of ours.

I present to RMOUG so that I can share my real life customer experiences—the  good, the bad, and the ugly so that the broader community has leading practices  and patterns to follow.  My specialties are enterprise architecture, SOA,  frameworks, and ensuring positive returns on IT investments through sound  architecture and governance.    Viva SOA (see, it’s not dead!), Go Gators, and  drive safely!

My favorite sports to do are water skiing, snow skiing, motocross and snowmobiling  …all things that Colorado is great for!

Thanks to RMOUG for inspiring me to move to Colorado in 1994 after speaking at  RMOUG in April of 1994.  I’ve been active and presenting at RMOUG ever since –  I’m hooked!

When not in front of a computer screen, I'm either in the ocean swimming, on the  ocean fishing or outside somewhere doing something non-technical.

I enjoy presenting at RMOUG because it is the best, most concentrated collection of  Oracle knowledge I have encountered. I get to share knowledge, meet friends and  gain contacts.  Plus, the people are great, and the location fantastic. See you there!

I enjoy baseball, football, golf, a good book and traveling the world with my wife.  With the exception of the six years I spent in the United States Navy, I have lived in  Colorado all my life.

I’m really looking forward to speaking at RMOUG this year. Early in my “Oracle  life”, I attended my first RMOUG Training Days and found it to be a valuable Oracle  networking resource as well as a place to absorb vast amounts of knowledge in a  rapid amount of time. I am honored to be able to contribute this year.

Movies, books and Football (the European kind!) are those three things that get me  real excited. Apart from that, we have a 2 1/2 year old, so I'm lucky if I get to read  anything other than Dr Seuss... RMOUG is one these fun conferences where the  attendees are fun and we all get to learn something about Oracle.

My name is Iggy Fernandez and I’m the author of Beginning Oracle Database 11g  Database Administration and the editor of the NoCOUG Journal.

I like presenting at RMOUG Training Days because it is a technical conference, not a  trade show. My presentations are not “customer success stories” or sales pitches;  they’re technical presentations on technical topics that matter to database  administrators and developers.

I am very excited about the opportunity to present at RMOUG TD 2010 – for the first  time! I have heard for years that this is one of the best Oracle training conferences,  but was frustrated year after year by scheduling conflicts, making it impossible for me  to attend.

While at RMOUG, I plan to share my obsessive exploration of the PL/SQL language  with attendees, and hopefully infect some of them with a similar level of interest in this  outstanding language.

My first computer was a TRS-80, and I love that computers keep getting better, faster  and cheaper; something that software projects always aim for, but only get to pick  two.

Every year, I look forward to RMOUG.  The price is right, and the location is the best!   A time to spend learning and enjoying time with colleagues.  This year I get to present  and hopefully everyone will enjoy themselves and possibly learn something new.  I  know I will!

I'm excited to speak at RMOUG because I enjoy being able to contribute.  Having  attended many conferences, I have learned a lot from presenters that have helped  me in my position; I hope to be able to share information that will be useful for others in their positions.

I first attended RMOUG Training Days in 2000 as developer new to Oracle  databases (8i at the time) and even to SQL. I have attended RMOUG Training Days  every year since that first time (this will be my eleventh opportunity to attend) and have  learned much from my annual attendance.

I have been presenting at RMOUG Training Days since Training Days 2002 because  I enjoy learning more about my topics as I prepare the presentations and because I  enjoy presenting topics that are a little out of the mainstream for Training Days.

I have been into IT stuff for last 18 years and have worked as a (part-time)  developer, sysadmin and DBA for over 16 years, since I was 15 years old. So my  main interest and hobby is... technology :-)

I like attending RMOUG because its many parallel tracks and large variety of  sessions. I like speaking at the conference due the deep technical profile of people.  RMOUG isn't just another marketing-material oriented conference as er...some  others ;-)

When not fooling around with Oracle, I spend my time helping out in a local           non-profit organization, ride my bike or walk my daughter's dog through the park,  sing off key in the shower, and read novels well into the night.

Why I want to present at RMOUG?   I've spoken at RMOUG Training Days in the  past and have always found the attendees to be an inquisitive and interactive bunch.  In addition I get to go to other interesting sessions and learn things about our  products from the perspective of real users with real problems.
